Overview
The goal of the SPOT is to reduce barriers and provide a comprehensive range of medical and behavioral health services to St. Louis youth. All services at the SPOT are free of charge. Since 2008, The SPOT has served over 20,000 youth.
What we do
The SPOT’s free, confidential services include:
- Medical & reproductive health care
- Primary care for youth in foster care
- Adolescent HIV & PrEP clinics
- HIV & STI screening and treatment
- Case management & resource referrals
- Counseling & psychiatry
- Behavioral health needs screening
Who we serve
In 2023, The SPOT served 1,970 youth ages 13-24, including:
- 70% BIPOC youth
- 25% LGBTQ+ youth
- 16% foster care youth
- 47% youth who were new clients

Sexual health
- 6 HIV+ youth identified, 100% successfully linked to care
- 279 youth received a pregnancy test (6% positive)
- 289 youth received contraception
- 30 active PrEP clients supported
Behavioral health
Youth screened positive for:
- 32% anxiety
- 31% substance use
- 28% trauma
- 14% depression
- 11% suicide
Top case management needs: emergency shelter and housing, rent or utility assistance, employment, food, child-care, clothing, medical care or insurance.
