The COACH Clinic is a unique program that is designed to ensure that foster youth are able to have stable and consistent access to health care services. Any foster youth (age 13-17) in St. Louis city or county should come to the COACH Clinic to receive their initial 30 day comprehensive exam that is mandated by the State of Missouri. Following this appointment, youth will also be given an opportunity to participate in a voluntary health education program that focuses on healthy relationships, safe sex practices, and teen pregnancy prevention.
Once enrolled in COACH, youth have continuous access to medical care, psychiatric services, dental services and case management until age 25. While priority is given to youth newly entering care, foster youth who lack a primary care physician can still be referred to the program.
